French Club, Qu'est-ce que c'est? The French Club is a place where students of French and their friends can hang out and learn about French and Francophone language and culture. At our meetings we sing songs, eat foods, and play games that will improve our fluency in French. We are also in a constant state of fund raising. French club sponsors many events including monthly birthday parties for members, an annual "wedding", and an annual banquet. In addition to these events, the club celebrates the acheivements of all it's members. Our ultimate goal is to travel to France and to use our skills first hand. You need not be enrolled in French, be on C track, or even be a GHS student to join, all are welcome. |

History of Our Club Until 1999, Garfield had French Club on only one track. Monsieur Soly sponsored French Club for B-Track. In 1999 Madame Stromberg became co-sponsor of the French Club and C-track students joined the club. Though the two tracks continue to work together, when either is off track, it becomes a seperate entity. To becme an official member of the club please follow the link below. It takes you to our official club. Click on join this club. You will need to have or create a Yahoo! id. Just follow the instructions under "sign me up!"
